6 - An old Wabash Oil on canvas 48"x48"
My site displays 14 of my 16 paintings. These 16 paintings are my life work created over the last 20 years. I consider them exercises as I developed and refined the themes and colors of my illusions.
Note: Although I rarely use photographs, the above painting and the painting 'A Bo's Life' are based on the black and white photographs of Andreas Feininger. He created several compelling and dramatic series of black and white photographs. These photographs were from his series on Old Chicago in 1941.
I credit Mr. Feininger as being the most significant influence in my decision to become an artist and his work is inspiration to many of my themes.
